Between rehearsals, MenAlive takes action to support the local community.
As part of our 25 Acts of Kindness campaign celebrating 25 years of music and community, MenAlive members have collected canned goods and non-perishable food items during our rehearsals. We are thrilled to share that these donations are heading to Grandma's House of Hope in Orange County.
MenAlive chorus members show off the impressive haul of donated food items, ready for delivery to Grandma's House of Hope.
About Grandma's House of Hope
Since 2007, Grandma's House of Hope has been among Orange County's most dedicated champions for those who often fall through the cracks. Their mission is both powerful and personal: to reach people pushed to society’s margins due to disability, illness, addiction, incarceration, or trauma, and to remove the barriers to a stable life.
This isn't just a food pantry or shelter. Grandma's House of Hope provides housing and comprehensive wrap-around services for single adults who need more than a hand; they need a community behind them. They offer true support, dignity, and hope.
Shelves stacked high: peanut butter, canned goods, pasta, ramen, and more, all collected at MenAlive rehearsals throughout our season.
Why This Matters to Us
At MenAlive, singing is an act of love that extends beyond rehearsal. As we mark 25 years, we ask: what does it mean to give back as a chorus?
The 25 Acts of Kindness campaign is our answer. With each act, we aim to make a meaningful impact in Orange County. Grandma's House of Hope exemplifies the transformative, compassionate work we want to support.
We thank every chorus member who donated. We’re proud of our community and honored to support Grandma's House of Hope.
