Battle for Broadway Dance Auditions: Your Moment to Shine

Lace up your dancing shoes! We're bringing Broadway's hits to the stage this fall with Battle for Broadway, and we want you to be part of it. Whether you're a returning dancer or stepping into the spotlight for the first time, singers and non-singers of all dance abilities are welcome to join our dance team.

Audition Details

When: Wednesday, July 29 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Where: VoicesAlive Office, 1701 E. Edinger Ave., #A8, Santa Ana, CA 92705

The evening is broken into two parts:

7:00 to 8:30 p.m., General Audition (required for everyone auditioning for dance), with optional Heels and Tap auditions

8:30 to 9:00 p.m., Hollywood Bowl Concert Audition (Friday, September 25), open to returning MenAlive 25 dancers and new dancers alike

What You Need to Know

Before you audition, please complete our Electronic Dance Audition Form. This helps us get to know you and prepare for your arrival.

Come warmed up, and bring:

  • Water and a towel

  • Comfortable clothes and shoes suited for dancing

  • Heels and tap shoes, if you plan to audition for those numbers

Can't make it in person? We understand. Video auditions are accepted, but should be recorded within the last six months. In-person auditions are preferred, and priority for casting will be given to dancers who attend in person.

The songs include numbers from Kinky Boots, Hello, Dolly!, Chicago, The Wiz, and other shows we love and will be choreographed by Mackenzie Keck.

Commitment

Rehearsals take place every Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the VoicesAlive Office, running from August 5 through October 14, with additional rehearsals the week of the show. A few Wednesday rehearsals ahead of the Hollywood Bowl will be extended, with times and dates to be announced.

Battle for Broadway Show Dates: Wednesday, October 21 and Thursday, October 22, 2026
Hollywood Bowl Concert: Friday, September 25, 2026

We understand life happens, so up to two unplanned absences are permitted throughout the rehearsal period.
