MenAlive stands with Gay Men's Chorus Washington

We are deeply troubled by the abrupt and unexplained cancellation of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington’s pre-scheduled performance at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

We believe in the power of music to inspire progressive change, to amplify queer voices, and to build bridges within our shared communities-not to be silenced.

For over four decades, LGBTQ+ choruses have used music to spread love and harmony and challenge societal norms. In this spirit of camaraderie, we pledge to stand with our GALA Choruses family in Washington D.C., and remain committed to a world where queer authenticity is boldly and openly celebrated.

To our friends at Gay Men’s Chorus Washington:
Your voices matter. Your art matters.
And we will always stand with you.
