Another season is in the books! While it might not have been what we’d traditionally expect, it has been a fantastic season never-the-less. We were able to pick up where we left off and we were excited to be able to do so. Our season started out with our annual Merry and Bright holiday show. In March, MenAlive was honored to perform the worldwide debut of Unbreakable, and yesterday, we closed out our season with I Am America.
Along with the end of our season, our Artistic Director, Bob Gunn took his final bow with MenAlive. After 21 years of service, Bob announced his retirement and the passing of the baton. When asked about his time with MenAlive, Bob stated “It has been one of the greatest joys of my life.”
After the final curtain, Richard Piatt, MenAlive’s Executive Director commented, “While this is my first season with MenAlive, I have enjoyed our journey thus far. I want to thank Bob for his years of service and wish him the best of times in his retirement.”
Piatt continued, “I want to thank everyone for their continued support of MenAlive, from our patrons to our volunteers and everyone in between. We couldn’t do what we do without them.”
MenAlive President and Chairman Michael Auchter added, “Here we are, over 20 years later and we’re still going strong, growing, and looking to the future. A heartfelt thank you to all those who have gotten us to this point. In my time with MenAlive, it’s been a fantastic adventure and I also want to thank Bob for his tenure with us.”
“21 years is a great run and I’m glad that I’ve been able to be a part of Bob’s time with MenAlive. Thanks for the fun,” continued Auchter.
MenAlive will be releasing more details in the coming weeks on our next season. We’d like to thank all our patrons, supporters, volunteers, members, and everyone else who assists in making MenAlive shine brightly.
We’ll see you at our next concert.
